Dark Barracks is the second type of Barracks in Clash of Clans that becomes available at Town Hall 7. They provide access to Dark Elixir troops. You can build Dark Barracks at a cost of 200,000 Elixirs once you’ve reached Town Hall 7.
In total, there are 10 troops that you can unlock in the Dark Barracks. These troops require Dark Elixir for their upgrades in the Laboratory.
Dark Barracks Max Levels
Here are the max levels of the Dark Barracks at each Town Hall level:
- Max level of Dark Barracks at TH7 is level 2.
- Max level of Dark Barracks at TH8 is level 4.
- Max level of Dark Barracks at TH9 is level 6.
- Max level of Dark Barracks at TH10 is level 7.
- Max level of Dark Barracks at TH11 is level 8.
- Max level of Dark Barracks at TH12 is level 9.
- Max level of Dark Barracks at TH13 is level 10.
Dark Barracks have a total of 10 levels, and you can upgrade them to their final level at Town Hall 13, giving access to all Dark Troops at this level. There are no new upgrades for Dark Barracks at TH14, TH15, and TH16. The final troop unlocked in the Dark Barracks is the Apprentice Warden.

When the Dark Barracks is undergoing an active upgrade, the training time of troops doubles. For example, while normally, you can train one Hog Rider in 45 seconds, during a Dark Barracks upgrade, it takes 90 seconds. Additionally, when Dark Barracks receives an upgrade, its hitpoints increase by +50.
