The Lab Assistant is a helper you can unlock in the Helper Hut at Town Hall 9. He speeds up your Laboratory upgrades once a day, starting at 1x speed and going up to 12x as he levels up. This means he can cut upgrade times by 1 to 12 hours for your troops, spells, and Siege Machines. However, he only works in the Home Village and can’t be used in the Builder Base’s Star Laboratory.
You can recruit the Lab Assistant for free when you reach Town Hall 9, but upgrading him to higher levels costs gems. The gem cost increases with certain upgrades, and fully maxing him out will take a total of 8,500 gems.
