The Spell Factory is a super important building in Clash of Clans. In the Spell Factory, you can brew 8 different spells, and each one does something different in a battle. These spells affect how well you do in battles. You can start using the Spell Factory when you reach Town Hall 5. It takes 150,000 Elixirs and 8 hours to build it for the first time.
Spell Factory’s Max Levels
Here are the list of max levels of Spell Factory at each Town Hall:
- Max level of Spell Factory at Town Hall 5 is level 1.
- Max level of Spell Factory at Town Hall 6 is level 2.
- Max level of Spell Factory at Town Hall 7 is level 3.
- Max level of Spell Factory at Town Hall 9 is level 4.
- Max level of Spell Factory at Town Hall 10 is level 5.
- Max level of Spell Factory at Town Hall 11 is level 6.
- Max level of Spell Factory at Town Hall 13 is level 7.
The Spell Factory can reach its maximum level at Town Hall 13. It gets no new level upgrades at TH8, TH12, TH14, TH15, and TH16. Notably, at Town Hall 9, upgrading the Spell Factory to level 4 gives access to two spells: the Freeze Spell and the Jump Spell. This is different from other upgrade levels, where only one new spell is obtained.

When the Spell Factory undergoes an upgrade to a higher level, its spell capacity also increases. Spell capacity represents the number of spells a player can take into a battle. The spell capacity reaches a maximum of 10 at Town Hall 10.
The spell capacity doesn’t increase beyond this point, remaining fixed at 10 even when progressing to Town Hall 11 and Town Hall 13. The Recall Spell is the final spell that players can unlock in the Spell Factory, and it becomes available at Town Hall 13.
