Every Halloween, Clash of Clans brings something special – Halloween Obstacles, also known as Clash-o-Ween Obstacles. These new obstacles have unique appearances and textures, contributing to the eerie atmosphere of the season.
They not only give a fresh new look to your village during Halloween but also offer rewards when you clear them. When you remove these obstacles, you’ll earn elixir and experience points.
With each Halloween, the game introduces multiple spooky obstacles that you can either clear for rewards or keep to give your base a fresh and fun appearance. Let’s take a look at these Halloween Obstacles in order.
2012’s Halloween Obstacle
Back in 2012, which is the same year Clash of Clans came out, they did something cool. When Halloween came around, they put a special thing in the game. It was the first Halloween Obstacle, and they called it the Halloween Mushroom.
This thing looked like a mushroom, but it was kind of spooky. It seemed like something was peeking out from the bushes. It had purple eyes and a nose, making it look mysterious and fun at the same time.
2013’s Halloween Obstacle
When Halloween came in 2013, Clash of Clans put in another Halloween Obstacle that looked really scary. This time, it was a pumpkin, but it wasn’t an ordinary pumpkin. Someone had carved a scary face into it.
There was also a spiky branch that started at the top of the pumpkin and went around it on the ground. This made the pumpkin look even more eerie and gave the game a spooky vibe.
2014’s Halloween Obstacle
During Halloween in 2014, Clash of Clans kept the spooky tradition going. They put in yet another creepy Halloween Obstacle and called it the “Halloween Headstone.”
This time, it was like a grave marker, but it was no ordinary grave marker. There was a tomb, and guess what? A hand was sticking out of it! It looked as if something was trying to crawl out of the tomb.
2015’s Halloween Obstacle
When Halloween came around in 2015, Clash of Clans had another surprise. They put in a new Halloween Obstacle. This time, it was a Cauldron, like the ones you might see in a witch’s potion room.
But this Cauldron was special – it had a purple liquid inside like some magical potion was brewing. It’s as if a witch might have been up to something mysterious!
This Halloween Obstacle was a bit unique compared to the ones before. It added a touch of magic and mystery to the game’s Halloween spirit.
2016’s Halloween Obstacle
In 2016, Clash of Clans had another Halloween treat for players – the “Scary Pumpkin” obstacle. This pumpkin wasn’t like any ordinary pumpkin. It was sliced in half in a special way, making the cuts look like sharp teeth.
But here’s the cool part – when you tapped on it, the pumpkin would close up, creating a spooky and entertaining animation effect. It was a fun way to make Halloween even more exciting in the game.
2017’s Halloween Obstacle
In 2017, Clash of Clans did something simpler for Halloween. They added a Halloween Obstacle, but it wasn’t too fancy. It was just a skull, not a human skull, though.
This skull looked more like it came from a dragon. Even though it was a bit basic, it still added a touch of spookiness to the game for Halloween.
2018’s Halloween Obstacle
During the Halloween season of 2018, Clash of Clans had something special again. They introduced a new Halloween Obstacle called the “Witch’s Hat.”
This hat was a vibrant purple color and was placed on some stones with several flowers around it. It brought a playful and magical vibe to the Halloween festivities in the game that year.
2019’s Halloween Obstacle
In 2019, Clash of Clans had a Halloween Obstacle known as the “Spooky Tree.” This tree was different from the others. It had a grayish color and no leaves on its branches.
Inside the tree, there was even a spider web to make it extra spooky. And guess what? Right by the tree’s roots, you could see a skull partially buried in the ground. It all added up to create a really eerie atmosphere for Halloween in the game.
2020’s Halloween Obstacle
In 2020, we got yet another frightening Halloween Obstacle during the Halloween season. They called it the “Vacant Tomb.” This obstacle was like a tomb that had been partially buried in the ground.
The lid on top of the tomb was moved a bit to the right, and you could catch a glimpse of something greenish inside. To add to the eerie scene, there was a lamp placed next to the tomb and even a shovel.
These little details made the Halloween atmosphere even more thrilling in the game that year.
2021’s Halloween Obstacle
In 2021, there was another Halloween surprise in Clash of Clans – the “Friendly Flower” Halloween Obstacle. This one was special because it moved, just like the Halloween Obstacle from 2016.
When you tapped on it, something similar to the Piranha Plant from Super Mario would pop out. Imagine a pumpkin with a mouth, tongue, and eyes, looking all spooky and playful at the same time.
It added a fun and slightly scary twist to the Halloween celebration in the game that year.
2022’s Halloween Obstacle
In the year 2022, Clash of Clans brought us a new Halloween surprise called the “Trick or Treat” Halloween Obstacle. This time, it was a pumpkin that was filled with candies and bones, creating a spooky and playful scene.
On the ground around the pumpkin, there were several bones scattered about. But that’s not all – the pumpkin itself had a scary face carved into it, and it was glowing as if it was alive.
2023’s Halloween Obstacle
Clash of Clans introduced a cool new Halloween Obstacle in 2023! It’s a spooky skull filled with special Sour Elixir. When players clear this obstacle, they get some Sour Elixirs.
This Halloween Obstacle has a special and different look compared to the ones before, making the Clash-O-Ween season more exciting!
I wish I could het the Halloween bush noise as a notification on my phone. It cracks my wife up.
